Spoilers: Distant Shores

A/N: The result of flipping through the dictionary. Sequel of sorts for Isabo's Shirt by Kirsten Beyer. Written for JCFicHaven's Posting Through The Alphabet.

The kiss lived in her memory, cavorting through her dreams. It stoked the fire of her heart on days that dawned with icy peril in the permanent cold of space. The kiss wielded a heavy hand with loneliness, for it did not belong here. The kiss gave strength to hope, depth to friendship, and light to the homeward path.

And then the time came for freedom, with the warmth of firm ground and bright blue skies. It happened with a burst of swirling joy and melding hearts. The kiss lived alone no longer, now cherished as the first of many.
